Without a doubt, here is one of the smoothest most enjoyable vocal-group Northern Soul strollers ever made, absolutely knockout tune, that refuses to vacate your head!

1st covered by Roddie Joy on Red Bird, but pales in comparison this revisit by Mike Lewis, Stuart Wiener, Ricky Lisi's original, a year later.

A swoon worthy NS dancefloor dependable!

Velours

I'm Gonna Change / Don't Pity Me

MGM : K13780 DJ (45s)

The rare and 100% authentic July 1967 promo with the stamped "Bed" matrix stamped into the deadwax.

THIS IS NORTHERN SOUL and some!

Is there a more influential intro to a 60's dance recording than this? A tune that lifted the Wigan Casino dancefloor and pinned the punters to the ceiling!

It's pumping bass-line, haunting-horns, tubular bells set the scene for some exhilarating Northern Soul gymnastics. An intro that would be repeated two more times through the song, as the crescendo is met again by the returning compelling bass-line, signaling ghostly horns to levitate above and those inspiring bells to ring out.. those unforgettable breaks would soon inspire testosterone fuelled dance-floor synchronization, as back drops, spins and hand-claps "Mexican-waved" through the NS throng.

For onlookers, it was an awesome like-minded routine of Soul Boy/Girl camaraderie, taken home in your head, to be set into those solitary bedroom dance-step practice sessions. At the bigger clubs, Wigan Casino, The Pier etc the ritual became competitive as the desire for the longest spin, highest backdrop, the loudest hand-clap sparked friendly combat between those vested Adonis's, with glistening sweated bodies. Some of the extravagant spins, even had the "wet-dog" effect as perspiration sprayed out from the performers foreheads and hair. "I'm Gonna Change" demanded exaggeration in your dance performance, your wide-arm handclaps were fully stretched arms coming down from aloft with an almighty thwack! all timed to perfection, Northern Soul dressage at its most

Not many records had the power to ignite such floor-euphoria, or indeed such disappointment as a collector, if you got fooled into buying a counterfeit promo, as many collectors did and sadly still do...

Be assure this beautiful promo before you today is 100% authentic first press, a real deal Northern Soul classic in fine clean condition...

A classic still saturated in the ability to send old-timers into a spin... even though those now yellowing, outgrown vests have long been discarded.

Do do not overlook the flipside "Don't Pity Me" is now picking up Northern Soul turntable time also... and is eclipsing the classic side in some clubs.. we expect a price hike on this rarity, especially with it's new lease of life for the flip.

John Bowie

You're Gonna Miss A Good Thing / At The End Of The Day

Merben : M-106 (45s)

Big John B. was an integral part of The Philadelphia Soul scene during the early 60’s, working with the up and coming writers and producers of the embryonic Philly sound. Rubbing shoulders with Steve Shulman, Frankie Beverley, Norman Baker, Johnny Stiles, Mike Lewis etc. With his successful local group “The Philadelphians” before branching out on his own, as the peripheral John Bowie. As others in his past contributed to the birth of TSOP within the rich tapestry of Philadelphia’s black music Soul scene.

But there is absolutely nothing unremarkable about his lone single Bowie released on Merben Record in 1966; when John’s two compositions came under the guidance of talented conductor Bob Lowden. A jazz man and trombonist with a full orchestra of his own to call into the studio. Resulting in two mighty Northern Soul movers, that today enjoy a huge collector’s following hoping to one day achieve ownership.

Big John’s rich vocal supported by the weight of a Lowden’s full orchestra, a man with the experience and know how of layering an arrangement, producing an ever increasing build up of power, was the perfect marriage, giving birth to two muscular “big city” NS winners. Sadly John Bowie and Robert Lowden made only two singles together. Before Bowie’s 45rpm career came to a close working with even more Philadelphia Northern Soul magicians Luther Randolph (Harthon) , Bob “Girl Across The Street” Finiz and Ross “Prove Yourself A Lady” Matico.

Why fate limited John Bowie output when he seemed to have been acquainted with so many Philly Northern Soul contributors may remained a mystery. But this is by far his greatest ever studio session. A real monster oldie, that seldom comes to market.

Both sides slay me...

Living Color

Got A Strange Feeling / Thank The Lord For Love

Madhatter: 4391 yellow (45s)

What a superb neglected Northern Soul classic "Thank The Lord For Love" is. A 45 that is now firmly back in the NS public's eye, with the gritty NS dancer on the flipside picking up plays from those "outside the box" DJ's backtracking into our past, highlighting what we missed back in those heady days of the mid-70's. When spoilt-for-choice reigned with all the genres of dance-Soul thrown into the Wigan Casino, Blackpool Mecca & Cleethorpes Pier melting-pot of DJ turntable choices.

"Thank The Lord For Love " was such an obviously perfect NS dancer, so infectious it rocketed to be a huge tune right from its debut plays. The soon to be student of Norman Whitfield at Motown, this was the work a young 17 year old writer, arranger, producer Mark Davis's; capturing the uplifting essence of Northern Soul completely. Opening up with a fanfare of aerial saxophone; with Mark's piano prowess driving the dance pulses, soon to be decorated by slick girl-group harmony. With the girls rebounding off each other in a tight union of harmony. A recording saturated in hope of leaving loneliness behind, impending happiness is just a moment away. This feel-good optimism transfers itself straight onto the dancefloor just as much today as it did back in 1976/77.

But in the recent years it is the flipside “Gotta Strange Feeling" that has overtook this wonderful classic side to become the "thinking" DJ's choice. It's demand blossoming under the freedom of the Sunday Chill Out sessions, imaginative internet displays during lockdown and of course the DJ's at the allnite clubs who investigate forgotten flipsides and back their own judgement on dancefloor response. I have no idea which DJ was the first to give this flipside his full support, but we send total respect to you.

Former teammate of Mel Britt and Eugene Smiley, Ray Foreman composes a gritty, potent, funky edged dance groove for this tight n'together sister gathering to get their teeth in to. The girls give up endless impressive vocal peaks through this journey of rejection. Again Mark Davis's keyboard leadership propels the session deep into today's Northern Soul territory. Aggressive at times, but cleverly partitioned by a well timed walking pace, exquisitely pitched solo statement, steeped in realization and impending freedom.

Two differing but top-drawer tunes from the streets Chicago that became the springboard for the teenage Mark Davis highly successful musical career.

A record that today is "impossible" to find in the wild.

Disciples Of Soul

That's The Way Love Goes / Together

Phantom : RI 2755 (45s)

It matters not which side you drop the arm on, both sides hit you with full-on horn saturated Northern Soul stompers to ignite the dancefloor. Muscular fully armed 9 man, male vocal group Northern Soul from Richmond Virginia, both sides give up flowing vocal-group NS dancers that will lift your day.

The unique "That's The Way Love Goes " written by the band members themselves, with an impressive twist to the Kenny Gamble & Leo Huff - The Intruders - Gamble 45 "Together" both stunningly executed showcasing real-deal soaring soulful vocals following Sandy Toone's lead and the extra depth to the backing by Stacy Henry and the Majestics.

I'm never quite sure which side moves me the most, the upbeat lead-side a proper-stormer or meandering mid-tempo flip. Both giving fabulously controlled horn breaks from Stacy Henry and the Majestics..

No wonder this disc has become very elusive, a double helping of vocal group Northern Soul dripping in class! Two dancers, that can only go up in value as sightings become less and less, harder and harder to acquire, year on year as DJ's use its power to elevate sets. .

This is the only known 45 release from the group, was made in the summer of 1968.

Gerri Shivers

Let's Try It Again / I Want A Love

Pat : G.K.P. 608 (45s)

WHAT A TUNE and oh so very RARE!

Not only sitting at the very pinnacle of the "Rarest Of The Rare" genre but also the most superlative girl voiced Northern Soul 45s ever made IMHO.

From the desk of the highly acclaimed Northern Soul icon George Blackwell, who guides the gilded songbird's throat through a Chadwick Avenue session with her output fully supported by a harmony group likely the Exsaveyons or The Herbs or a mixture of the two, as they cradle Gerri's honeyed vocal every step of the way.

It has been so long (over 45 years) since I saw or certainly heard this beyond-exquisite Northern Soul experience from streets of Newark, New Jersey. I feel quite astounded just how damn good this record is. Far rarer and far better than any girl-tune you care to mentioned. When that instantaneous Kenneth Ruffin piano intro captures you undivided attention, you immediately realize you're in the presence of Northern Soul genius, as the combination of Gerri's voice and vocal group harmony sweep you off to NS paradise.

The above review wasn't enough to persuade you sell your children into slavery, the flipside is drenched in authentic sister-harmony-deep-soul with Gerri's voice going above-and-beyond the norm to blow you away

Lonely One / Lonely Night

Riley's : 8782 (45s)

A rare opportunity to capture a Detroit NS Grail at an affordable price.

Two clean labels, (see images) but has a vinyl visual grade of vg, but plays very nicely thank you (listen)

One of 4 singles the group released for Bob Riley's independent group of Motor City labels after starting life with Motown "allied" producers Herman Griffin & Robert Bateman as the "Moments" on their solitary 45 on "Hit Productions" in 1963.

Herschel Hunter, Bufford 'Fab' Glatton, Ben Knight, Sam Pearson and James Davis. Three years later they come under the expertise of Detroit's soul matriarch Johnnie Mae Matthews and her right hand man Jake Hammond. The collaboration crafting this glorious slab of elusive Northern Soul.

A really classy Detroit, a Northern Soul stroller, just like their hyper-desirable "I'll Never Forget You" on Diamond Jim, this too benefits from the beseeching passion the lead vocal injects into this song , pouring his heart out, whilst cradled in blanket of male-vocal-group harmony; a performance the rips into both your aorta and your intestines..

The instrumental delight on the flipside "Lonely Night" screams DETROIT! DETROIT! on every note... the wonderful vocal version was LP ONLY by the Platters .. "I Can't Get Used To Sharing You" from the GOING BACK TO DETROIT lp on Musicor.

Two standout sides, now a very elusive 45, saturated in magical Motor City charms on both sides...

Masterpiece

Love Affair / We're Gonna Make It

Ypsi : MT 1001 (45s)

School friends craft a gorgeous 1974 Detroit spawned 11 member gathering from within the Ypsilanti High School hence the label name YPSI . Active from 1974-1976. They released this one solitary record and what a killer it is too.

A vocal-group cruiser that has garnered a huge European following over the decades, most fans of who are debating which tune is the "one" to play!

I can't help with that one, as I change my mind which side I adore the most, every time, on the rare occasions we encounter this Soulful Harmony cruiser.

"Love Affair" is of course an instant "park your drink" rush to the floor dancer spin, a crowd-pleaser driven by seamless mixed vocals riding percolating guitar rhythms, partitioned by a jazzy keyboard break whilst the harmony strength relentlessly builds without diminishing the smoothness of those the silky soulful vocals. A record sitting at the peak of its powers, popularity with the dancefloor at a pinnacle, value on a skyward trajectory. We suggest, do not delay trying to secure a copy.

Especially as the not so obvious gorgeously soulful flipside "We're Gonna Make It" is receiving the same level of plaudits with the "Lowrider" motivated DJ, a sublime guitar/horn break signals lead vocal switches with all vocals supremely soulful and smooth.

Two enormously soulful sides, that are winning an army of fans which ever side you chose the play first.

A twofer of the highest soulful appeal...

Parkway : P-140 DJ (45s)

A Northern Soul Anthem of the highest calibre, straight from an armchair collector who has treasured his "crown jewel" for decades, absolutely no Northern Soul DJ circuit persecution. A stunning mint minus copy on the eye and the stylus.

I and you will be too, instantly transported back to those golden years of NS. Premiership Northern Soul anthems in fine clean condition that have never left the a a Brit-collector's cupboard USA before now. In 2024 this is the stuff NS collectors dreams are made of. Not forgetting, no serious Northern Soul collector who is lucky enough to already be the proud custodian of this timeless Philadelphia dancefloor motivator, would ever consider relinquishing ownership; especially a copy that has never encountered the rigors of decades traveling the Northern Soul circuit.

Ever dreamed of owning this timeless anthem as an east -coast vinyl stock copy that has never been enslaved onto the Northern Soul DJ carousel... most known copies certainly have; there are no signs here of hissy, squeaky, incoherent grooves, as they tire from the rigors and fatigue of the circuit; as the few copies known have spent decades circumnavigating the NS scene.

THIS IS NORTHERN SOUL at it's most inspiring, most memorable, it brings out every feel-good emotion you've ever had, right up to the surface..

Shockingly this NS masterclass started life as a b-side... rescued from eternal obscurity by Northern Soul pioneers leaving no stone unturned in their quest for Soul dancefloor perfection... wow just imagine a life without ever hearing and dancing to Yvonne’s soaring moments of majesty...

De Villes

One More Time (We Face Each Other) / One More Time (We Face Each Other) instrumental

Rina: 1002 (45s)

A beyond rare, Michigan soulful stepper from the desk of Ronnie McNeir and fellow creator Jimmy Watkins.

Typically saturated in "McNeir" profound emotion, floating on a raft of sympathetic guitar caresses inviting divine celestial soaring girl group support. Whilst the other male group members bolster the meandering harmony, unfurling superior 1970 mid-tempo soul.

With the beautiful lake decorated surrounding landscape of Pontiac just north of Detroit. The working hub of General Motors automobile manufacturing plants. But there was always time for 19 year old Ronnie to craft some exceptional soul, refusing to get draw into the successful soulful styles of the high-profile Michigan producers like Norman Whitfield who was riding a high at the time.

This is a totally distilled, harmony cruiser of pure quality drenched is authentic emotion, as a loving relationship begins to fade, sadly drawing to a close, the impending sadness is palpable.

It's real stunner, hugely sought after by the A-List DJs advancing this burgeoning rare soul style.

Gorgeous and so damn RARE!

Shrill girl group choruses endorse her overtures for "True True Love That Will Last For Evermore" .. vibes, subtle horns, tinkling piano notes, the whole performance pulls you right into her overwhelming desire.. truly gorgeous charismatic Chicago Soul.

John Standberry Jr.

Keep On Working / As Long As I Have You

Engleside : SR126658 (45s)

John Standberry Jr. highly regarded soulman from Jacksonville , Florida here with his rarest 45, an interesting double header of both a Deep Soul ballad, and a moody mid-tempo dance groove, a disc we've never come across before. We believe born in Atlanta Ga. in the spring of 1966.

Both sides written and produced by John Standberry jr. himself, 100% a D.I.Y. southern soul grooves.

We kick off with decidedly different, haunting dance groove guitar / flute propelled mid-paced stroller enriched by relentess male vocal group "work work work" with Standberry's consummate voice gliding through proceedings.

A record so very rare, but one you will be compelled to play again again, this week's soulful earworm for me, one that's been on the lips of those who dig deep seeking "The Rarest of The Rare" most of their collecting lives.

The flipside is fabulous Deep Soul that ticks all the boxes.

Two really cool sides from a gifted soulman, who recorded for Barry, Josie, Sumpter, Jayville, Stanlos and Engleside but who sadly sat on the peripherals of soul music all his life.

This for me this Engleside 45 is by far his rarest and most interesting.

Richard Kateo

Pink Cadillac (That's What I Want) part 1 / Pink Cadillac (That's What I Want) part 2

Northern Records : 3744 (45s)

Richard Morris a prolific and highly regarded Detroit lyricist who played a huge part in cementing some bricks into the Motown / Detroit Sound, plus constructing some favorites inc: one of the all-time greatest Northern Soul anthems of them all - everybody's fave by J. J. Barnes "Real Humdinger” whilst working for Ed Wingate's Ric-Tic / Golden World was a Richard Morris creation.

Richard was a very talented man, never one to pass-by a musical opportunity for a possible Motor City "hit". In circa 1961/2 he takes inspiration from Berry Gordy and Barrett Strong, singing an alternative to "money" a "Pink Cadillac" would do him him nicely thank you very much. Using the hookline "That's What I Want" from "Money - "A Pink Cadillac - That's What I Want"

A gritty creation with Johnnie Mae Mathews, RARE rasping Motor City Boo-Ga-Loo dancer, under the umbrella of Lu-Pine music.

This disc was 100% Detroit conceived, drenched in the style and mood of the Motor City and all its possibilities, if you to catch the attention of the radio DJ. Unfortunately for Richard and Johnnie Mae this lyrically blessed "alternative" theme for the trappings of riches, failed to get noticed. It was only a couple a years later "Mustang Sally" hit huge pay dirt with a "Car Themed" style; decorated with sharp blues guitar, squealing girl choruses, capturing that Motor City feel.

Pink Cadillac (That's What I Want) - is such a real tough Detroit 45 to acquire and absolutely perfect to reignite the atmosphere of the early 60's Detroit saturated in familiar dance riffs that carried the classic Detroit dance rhythms for years to come.

For those of you dedicated to the Detroit sound - you are unlikely to see such a fine condition copy again, any time soon!

Kapp : K-802 DJ (45s)

Mind if I gush, I can't help it when I rteview the genius of the "Pid Piper" team. How do you begin to review one of the most perfect Northern Soul sister, ever crafted.

For me this 45 is the crown jewels of Pied Piper catalog, showcasing exactly why dedicated Soul scholars consider Pied Piper, a superior production team than even the talent saturated Hitsville squad of Motown. Because of Pied Piper's steadfast determination never to swerve towards commerciality, or pander to "white" tastes. This principled mindset , created groundbreaking production, as you are about to hear with these two, most perfect examples of superbly individualistic Detroit Soul.

Recorded in Detroit October 17th 1966 by Piped Piper team consisting some of Motown's "Funk Bothers" Mike Terry -Britone Sax, Joe Hunter - piano., Eddie Willis - Bas Guitar, Richard "Pistol" Allen on drums, team leader Jack Ashford on tambourine, backing vocals by Pat Lewis, Jackie Hicks, Louvain Demps (The Andantes) also borrowed from Motown, but utilized differently.

A co*cktail of Motor City voices and musicians, arranged by the unsung geniuses Herbie Williams, Johnny Allen.

The pinnacle of proper soul-sister Northern Soul...presented here as the much yearned for, often dreamt about BLACK Stocker copy.

Vala Reegan & The Valarons

Fireman / Living In The Past

Atco : 45-6412 DJ (45s)

I know earlier this year there was a few disappointed collectors who missed out on the stock copy we auctioned. We had a few asking if we had another copy spare. Once this entrancing display of girl-group excellence, become their ear-worm of the day. Magnificent girl Northern Soul which ever side you drop the stylus on.

The well practiced girl-group virtuoso Herb Bernstein straight from the school of Bob Crewe Productions. Adds these young New York songbirds to his already impressive list of girl-vocal triumphs that include The Flirtations, Laine Hill, Kathy And The Calenders etc. With this "unknown" gathering of young ladies, the mysterious Vala Reegan with her bevvy of shrill girlfriends oohing overhead, with enthusiastic male voiced choruses underpinning proceedings.

Superior Northern Soul dancer with a difference, served up and driven by wave after wave of heavy duty percussion, pelted in every corner of this insistent production.
by relentless Bongos, racing rhythms, soaring oohs take to the air driven by bass guitar pulses, that break out inviting triumphant horns to explode skyward into lift-off mode. A sustained attack on the Northern Soul senses that will leave you quite breathless.

But it's the flipside that provokes my girl-vocal addictions, as the mesmeric sisters enslave me in their thrall. Simplistic piano arrangement spark my sweet girl frailties, I'm immediately absorbed, floundering, about to drown in the beauty of the "unknown" Vala's honeyed voice. "Living In The Past " carries the same heart-enslaving qualities that Herb sprinkled over the magnificent Laine Hill "Ain't I Worth A Dime"

Yes two awesome sides!

I'm a beyond redemption "junkie" for this style of sister "Beat Ballad Heaven" - " Living In The Past" ticks all my sister soul music fetishes.

You can warm up your ass on the dancefloor to "Fireman". But me, I'd much rather curl up with the sublimely addictive " Living In The Past" ..

La Reine La Mar

That's Not The Way To Love / Mama I Don't Wanna

Cloud Records : 503 vinyl (45s)

Hidden away on a shrill girly teen handclapping dance session, is a concealed, truly gorgeous Northern Soul experience. Fired into action by a triumphant choir intro, a barrage of brass, showered with forceful piano, before falling away into the arms of a bewitching girl vocal to takes to the air cradled by a heavenly wave of celestial girl group support - a stunning creation!

Marion Stewart 'I Must Be Losing You' on "R" Records utilized the same compelling backing track as this 1965 release, with most preferring this rarer original 1965 version.

Pulling heavily from the influence of New York and those muscular Brill Building productions, a divine girl choir hang in the air as La Reine pleads for her man not to abandon her love. Convincingly sung with imploring passion reserved for a despairing girl in love. Expressive and brilliantly played out, leaving you requiring at least one more play to take in all the emotional elements, filing the studio that day.

As New York big production girl tunes go, this is undoubtedly one of the very strongest, and so challenging to acquire.

The self-penned flipside, is worth noting, piano drivena squealing, hipshakin' shouter ripples with MOD!

Kenny Carlton

Lost And Found / Wait Till I Get You In My Arms

Blue Rock : B-4054 (45s)

Currently one of the most-wanted of all the reactivation Northern Soul anthems.

After spending more than 50 years as a recognised killer tune, but true rarity limiting it to only spasmodic plays by the DJ's lucky enough top own copy, but never enjoying that uniformed NS DJ push, essential to send it nationwide "massive"... hence NO bootlegs ever appeared to bring Van McCoy brilliance deeper into the NS community. Just dedicated collector adoration and the sparse displays from imaginative NS DJing through the years. But now it seems after far too long waiting in the shadows of the "same old, same old" Northern Soul classics. It has now burst through on a wave of crowd appreciation, fueled by DJ's after John Vincent a man when before he retired, took huge personal satisfaction unearthing, promoting and detonating these neglected gems.

"Lost and Found" shines with Van McCoy genius from start to finish. McCoy-magic launches aerial horns, insistent girl-group choruses fill the landscape echoing Kenny's rich vocal, searching for his "baby". Thank heavens this magnificent tune, has remained consistently rare throughout the last 50 years... staying out of reach of the bootleggers, no horrid repro out there, allowing the unscrupulous jocks to deliver its charms at a non OVO event. .

Condition is very clean throughout, two clean labels (see images) full gloss vinyl, only minimal signs of plays, (listen) both sides play beautifully clear. Still housed in an unblemished birth sleeve.
You just know it's gonna be a challenge to top this!

But there's more B-side "Wait Till I Get You In My Arms " has all the qualities of a more edgy Northern Soul spin, the type of sound that could have easily graced the turntables at Stafford Top Of The World and slipped perfectly into those more discriminating selective DJ sets. This also has everything it takes to stir your audience, stabbing horns, rhythmic guitar, relentless percussion, a perfect NS dancer elevated by a shrill girl choruses, and a rousing sax break...it's got the lot!

Two top sides, on one disc that has NOT so far met a Northern Soul turntable.

I Can't See Him Again / Darling, Tell Me Why

Dade : 1903 (45s)

PROPER NORTHERN SOUL!

A "Blackpool Mecca" signature dish... destructive girl-power from the desk of Miami trio, Steve Alaimo, Henry Stone and Brad Shapiro. From the first drum-shot, it is foot-to-the-floor, full throttle wheel-spin Northern Soul; The perfect fuel to drive those artificial-enhancers for dancefloor release through your body.

A legendary disc a "Mecca" exclusive for quite some time, one of the reasons soul-fans made the long M6 trek to Blackpool on a Saturday night. To hear and dance to raw girl-group energy like no other...a girl-stomper with few equals or comparisons. Listen and relive your most energetic of NS times.

After that breathtaking 2 minutes, take the time to absorb the original a-side that we all overlooked in our rush to embrace backdrops, spins and high-kicks. "Darling, Tell Me Why" is an authentic emotional young black girl stroller, showcasing the trauma of adolescent love through a convincingly pained lead vocal, painting a picture of her bemusem*nt as to why her boy would make her cry. Her girlfriends beautifully support her anguish with honeyed choruses as a simplistic lone piano, brilliantly fragile sister-soul.

For 60's girl-group scholars this is a special flipside indeed, "Darling, Tell Me Why" a truly refreshing change of pace.

Til I Get Home / Can This Be Real

Calgar : CG 0005 (45s)

Another two for the price of one, elusive dancer, from a Milwaukee, Wiscosin vocal-group overseen by Chicago influences. Two horn decorated 70's dancers to pleasure your ears.

Cal Monegar's private enterprise has been responsible to several rare Soul delights with his occasional productions through the early 70s. This time enlisting the talents of prolific Chicago arranger Thomas Washington, a name that has adorned countless record labels in the Chicago area. Quality assured when to see the moniker TOM TOM, and this small label session is no exception. His mastering of blending strings and horns evident throughout, as the seamless male vocals glide and swirl through two top-drawer dancers.

"Til I Get Home" a feel-good flood dancer, strong lead vocal smoothed by a flood of backing harmonies laced into guitar driven dance-beat.. just sublime as this understated groove takes hold of your mood.

Flip it over, the lead switch to a searing falsetto driving high and hard with a barrage of brass breaking through. Rarely does a rare Soul 455 offer up two sides that split "DJ" opinion... it matter not a jot which side you drop the arm on. Both sides give up exquisite Soul dance experiences..

What a great £££ to quality value 45 this is..

a superb Mint minus throughout, unblemished play perfect example
